The new inspection pit at Darjeeling Station.

The new inspection pit at the station is almost complete.
It will allow brake block clearances to adjusted without the usual shunting onto the turntable siding.
The ladies here were seen carrying out this work in December.

Stantions being erected around the new inspection pit, presumably as a safety measure.
A new ticket office and cafe is being built at the end of the platform.
