We now have a few copies of the 4th edition of Samit Roychoudhury’s atlas, which now includes the railways of Bangladesh. Although the third 2015 edition still gives an excellent detailed view of all India’s railways, this new 4th edition does cover the latest in electrification and gauge conversion, and was published in 2022. The amount of detail incorporated is stunning, and no serious student of Indian Railways should be without one of these volumes.
Both the 3rd & 4th editions are at the basic scale of 1:1,000,000, with larger panels giving more details of city centre and complicated areas.
